Being the daughter of a Marine and commercial airline pilot, Kris had the opportunity to travel the world at a young age. It was during this time she developed an interest and appreciation for the world of hospitality and although she studied Sports Medicine in college, she realized her true passion was working with people. She managed to parlay this passion into a career, and she hasn’t looked back.

A mother of three, Kris says that her family helps keep her balanced. Whether it’s enjoying a hike on the weekend, spending a lazy day at the beach, cooking, or taking care of their 12-year-old Havanese, Don Diego, Kris is always on the go. But the main thing that keeps Kris busy is trying to keep up with her kids’ daily activities. To say she is a proud mom is an understatement as she loves sharing stories of her kids and their escapades as they grow into young adults. In those rare moments of downtime, Kris loves to read while enjoying a glass of wine or whiskey. Another one of her passions is baseball, although she doesn’t follow a specific team. “It’s not about a team for me; it’s about the strategy of the game,” she said.

Having traveled the world and raising children has helped shape Kris, so it’s not surprising her favorite Guiding Principle is “Do everything with gratitude and humility,” which she embodies on a daily basis.
